Balancing and minor errors

Hi there!

We have a few updates on the prototype.

First of all, thanks to all the playtesters we had last week. Thanks to them, we learned about a lot of things that were going a bit wrong in the prototype, and we were able to fix them as best as we could.

We asked a few questions to playtesters of the late prototype, and these are the things we found out:

Bugs: Reported bugs included sticking to walls, weird gravity, and the survival bars not working correctly.

  • We were able to fix the issue of sticking to walls, and we are working on the gravity issue. However, it has proven to be problematic so far, and we hope it will be resolved soon.
  • As for the survival bars, we balanced them in a way we believe works better now. They actually go down and fill up your health every time you fill one of them.
  • We also balanced the fall damage, as many players reported it to be way too high. We hope it is more just now.

  • Many players also seemed to believe that the menu screens were failing because of the missing information in them. In reality, they are not complete yet, and it is on us that we didn't clarify this. So, we apologize for that. We have now added disclaimers stating that they are soon to be completed.

Level design:

  • We had an issue with a place unreachable of the map, we added a ramp to allow people to reach it easily, other than that, people recommends adding more hazards and places to play around in. We are most definitely adding more hazards and areas to play around in the map, this will be increasing in amount over the few next months.

Visual Style:

Players seemed to be pretty content with it. We will be adding more to the gameplay over the next few weeks, and we are planning to update a few of the images of the screens in the near future.

Overall Understanding of the Objective:

Most of the players seemed to believe that the objective of the game was to find all of the water and food sources, but the true objective, in reality, is to survive as long as you can.

We also faced an issue with these food and water objectives because as for now, they are limited. Many of the players who survived long enough and finished these resources had the issue of not being able to keep playing, as not finding these resources will kill you eventually in the game.

We are planning on adding a system that allows water and food to keep appearing while players are still alive in the game.

Those are all the updates so far. We are working on making the game a lot more fun and complete, and we hope you like it so far.

We are leaving a new version of the latest prototype for you guys to play and test if you like (file name is prototipo3.4).

Thanks for the read! :D
